Pocket Park

This eye-catching park can be found at the entrance of Main Street as you enter the downtown area.  It sits proudly on the corner of Broadway and Main.

This delightful addition was added to the community in 2007, as part of the city's beautification project.  The "old time" clock tower is surrounded by bricks purchased by businesses and people of the community to help cover costs of the park and other beautification projects. Written on the bricks are family names, warm sentiments, memorials, or any other variety of chosen phrases.  Passersby can sit on one of the nearby park benches and absorb the atmosphere of this inviting "pocket park."

The Main Street Merchants Association in downtown Plattsburg commissioned this beautiful mural (painted by Ana Hartenbach of St. Louis) with monies earned from annual golf tournaments and other fundraisers.  It is a pleasant addition to this already lovely park.
